TAIL LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rear compartment sill plate.
2. If removing the tail lamp for bulb replacement only, proceed to step 5 at this time.




3. Disconnect the taillamp connector.
4. Press the grommet out of the rear end panel.
5. Remove the nuts securing the taillamp to the body.
6. Remove the taillamp from the body.
7. Replace failed bulbs if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. If taillamp was removed for bulb replacement only, proceed to step 4.




2. Route the taillamp connector and the grommet through the body.
3. Verify that the grommet is fully seated in the body rear end panel.
4. Install the taillamp to the body.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the nuts that secure the tail lamp to the body.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

6. Connect the taillamp connector.
7. Install the rear compartment sill plate.
