Creak/Squeak Type Noise From Rear Of Vehicle During Slow Speed Turns (Lubricate Automatic Level Control Sensor Link Sockets)

2004 Cadillac DeVille
2004 Pontiac Bonneville
Condition
Some customers may comment on a creak/squeak type noise from the rear of the vehicle during slow speeds and slow turns.
Cause
This condition may be due to insufficient lubrication on the ball stud on the automatic level control sensor assembly.
Correction
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the automatic level control sensor link from the ball studs.
3. Clean the ball studs and the sensor link sockets of dirt and debris.
4. Apply a lubricant such as GM Vehicle Care Super Lube(R), P/N 12346241 (U.S.) 10953474 (Canada), GM Vehicle Care Lubriplate(R), P/N 89021668 (U.S.) 89021674 (Canada), or equivalent, to both sensor link sockets.
5. Install the automatic level control sensor link to the ball studs.
6. Lower the vehicle.
