This bulletin is being revised to add additional VIN information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin # 04-06-121-001 (Section 06 - Engine).

Condition

Some customers may comment on a no crank, no start condition

Cause





The ground location may not be drilled or tapped deep enough into the engine block which prevents the bolt from achieving the recommended torque. Refer to the illustration above.

Correction

Replace the bolt at ground location (G101) with a shorter bolt, P/N # 11517862.
