Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.




2. Remove the cross vehicle brace bolts from the brackets.
3. Remove the cross vehicle brace from the brackets.




4. Remove the cross vehicle brace bracket bolts from the shock towers.
5. Remove the cross vehicle brace brackets from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the cross vehicle brace brackets to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the cross vehicle brace bracket bolts to the shock towers.

Tighten the bolts to 47 N.m (35 lb ft)




3. Install the cross vehicle brace to the brackets.
4. Install the cross vehicle brace bolts to the brackets.

Tighten the bolts to 23 N.m (17 lb ft)

5. Close the hood.
