Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement (Manual)
Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling or SIR Disabling and Enabling in Restraint Systems.
2. Position the seat back to the full upright position.
3. Position the seat cushion out of the way. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement.
4. Remove the lumbar support knob.
5. Remove the fasteners (3) securing the lumbar cable to the seat cushion frame.
6. Note the routing location of the lumbar cable for reinstallation.
Remove the lumbar cable from the seat cushion frame.
7. Remove the seat back cover and pad.
8. Release the 2 retainers (1) at the bottom of the lumbar assembly.
9. Pull downward on the lumbar assembly in order to release the lumbar from the seat back frame.
10. Remove the lumbar assembly from the seat.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the lumbar cable down through the seat back and under the seat cushion frame as noted during the removal procedure.
2. Install the power lumbar assembly to the seat back frame. Ensure the top of the rods are installed into the nylon guides in the seat back frame
3. Secure the power lumbar assembly by snapping the retainers (1) onto the bar at the bottom of the seat back frame.
4. Install the fasteners (3) in order to secure the lumbar support cable to the seat cushion frame.
5. Install the manual lumbar support knob by snapping into place.
6. Install the seat back cover.
7. Install the seat cushion.
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling or SIR Disabling and Enabling in Restraint Systems.
