Lock Rod Knob Replacement - Door







Removal Procedure

Important: The door locking knob retainer (2) must be replaced with a new one once removed.

1. Remove the inside door handle, if required.
2. Using a small flat-bladed tool, remove the door locking rod knob retainer (2) from the door locking rod knob assembly (1).
3. Lift the locking rod knob (1) up, and remove it form the door locking rod.
4. Remove the screw (3) securing the door locking rod ferrule (4) to the door trim panel and remove the ferrule (4).








Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Fastener Notice

1. Install the door locking rod ferrule (4) to the door trim panel and secure with the screw (3).

Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

2. Install the lock rod knob (1) to the door lock rod.
3. Install a new lock rod knob retainer (2) to the door lock rod knob (1).
4. Install the inside door handle, if removed.
