Lock Cylinder Replacement - Door

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the drivers door outside handle bracket. Refer to Door Handle Bracket Replacement - Outside (Drivers Side) (Door Handle Bracket Replacement - Outside (Driver Side))Door Handle Bracket Replacement - Outside (Passenger Side) (Door Handle Bracket Replacement - Outside (Passenger Side)) .
2. Remove the clip (1) and slide the cam (7), spring (6), lever (5), spring (2) and rollers (4) away from the lock assembly.
3. Remove the spring (3) from the lock assembly.




4. Using a suitable pair of pliers, pull the door lock barrel housing pin (1) out of the drivers door outside handle bracket (2).




5. Rotate the cover (1), housing (2), O-ring (8), cylinder assembly (7), sleeve (6), and coupling (5) in a counter-clockwise direction, being careful not lose the two balls (3) while removing from the door outside handle bracket (4).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the coupling (5), sleeve (6) with the two balls (3), cylinder assembly (7) O-ring (8), housing (2) and cover (1) to the door outside handle bracket (4) while rotating in a clock-wise direction.




2. Install the door lock barrel housing pin (1) to the drivers door outside handle bracket (2).




3. Install the spring (3) to the lock assembly.
4. Install the rollers (4), spring (2), lever (5), cam (7) and clip (1) to the lock assembly.
5. Install the driver's door outside handle bracket. Refer to Door Handle Bracket Replacement - Outside (Drivers Side) (Door Handle Bracket Replacement - Outside (Driver Side))Door Handle Bracket Replacement - Outside (Passenger Side) (Door Handle Bracket Replacement - Outside (Passenger Side)) .
