Rear Compartment Lid Switch Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the right side instrument panel (I/P) lower extension (2). Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Extension Replacement on page 8-358 in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
2. Depress the two retaining tabs on the back of the rear compartment release switch (3) and remove from the I/P lower extension panel (2).








Installation Procedure
1. Install the rear compartment release switch (3) to the I/P lower extension (2) making sure the two retaining tabs are engaged.
2. Install the right side I/P tower extension (2). Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Extension Replacement on page 8-358 in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
