Removal Procedure
1. Remove the manual transmission from the vehicle.
2. Remove the clutch.
Notice: DO NOT use grease under pressure to force the pilot bearing from the crankshaft or engine damage may result.
3. Using the J23907, remove the clutch pilot bearing.
Installation Procedure
1. Check the crankshaft rear oil gallery plug is not loose, damaged or leaking.
2. If necessary, coat the new oil gallery plug (1 ) with Loctite(tm) 242 or equivalent.
3. Install the new oil gallery plug to a depth of 31.2-31.6 mm (1.22-1.24 inch).
4. Install the new pilot bearing, until flush with the crankshaft counterbore.
5. Install the clutch.
6. Install the manual transmission in the vehicle.
