Door Window Channel Replacement

Window Channel Replacement - Door







Removal Procedure
1. Remove the inside door handle assembly, if required.
2. Remove the door trim panel.
3. Remove the 3 door brackets (1) from the door inner panel (3) by levering out the center pin of the bracket.
4. Carefully, peel off the door water shield (2) upwards to gain access to the window guide.
5. Remove the outside rear view mirror.
6. Remove the door speaker.







7. Remove the 2 door inner panel belt seals (1).







8. Remove the window weather-strip (1) from the window channel (2).







9. Partially remove the door upper weather-strip (1) from the lip on the door upper frame, to allow access to the front window channel cap (2).







10. Remove the window channel cap (1) away from the window channel (2).







11. Remove the 3 bolts (1) securing the window channel (2) to the door panel (3).





12. Remove the window channel (1) from the door (3) in an upward direction, disengaging the window slides (2) from the window channel (1).







Installation Procedure

1. Position the window channel (1) to the door (3) and engage the window slides (2) to the window channel (1).







Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 3 bolts (1) to the window channel (2).

Tighten the 3 bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).







3. Install the window channel cap (1) to the window channel (2).







4. Reposition and install the door upper weather-strip (1) to the lip on the door upper frame.







5. Install the window weather-strip (1) to the window channel (2).









6. Install the 2 inner door panel belt seals (1).
7. Install the door speaker.
8. Install the outside rearview mirror.
9. Adjust the door window, if necessary.







10. Reposition and install the door water shield (2).
11. Install the 3 door brackets (1) to the inner door panel (3).
12. Install the door trim panel.
13. Install the inside door handle assembly, If removed.
