Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Inboard)

CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT (INBOARD)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the outboard instrument panel (I/P) insulator.
2. Remove the inboard I/P insulator screws.
3. Slide the I/P insulator from the HVAC module. Disconnect the defroster duct from the I/P insulator.
4. Remove the inboard I/P insulator.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the inboard I/P insulator to the lower I/P.
2. Connect the defroster duct to the I/P insulator. Slide the I/P insulator to the HVAC module.
3. Install the I/P insulator screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

IMPORTANT: Place the shift interlock cable in the notch when you install the screw to the HVAC module.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the left outboard I/P insulator.
