Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (Inboard)

CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT (INBOARD)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the retainer (2) from the outboard instrument panel (I/P) insulator.
2. Remove the outboard I/P insulator.




3. Remove the I/P insulator screws.
4. Remove the wiring harness from the opening on the I/P insulator.
5. Slide the I/P insulator from the HVAC module. Disconnect the defroster duct from the I/P insulator.
6. Remove the inboard I/P insulator.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the inboard I/P insulator to the lower I/P.
2. Connect the defroster duct to the I/P insulator. Slide the I/P insulator to the HVAC module.
3. Press the wiring harness into the opening on the I/P insulator.
4. Install the I/P insulator screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




5. Install the outboard I/P insulator.
6. Install the outboard I/P insulator retainer (2).
