CHANGE OIL
The IPC illuminates the CHANGE OIL message when the powertrain control module (PCM) determines that the engine oil life is less than 11 percent. The PCM sends a class 2 message to the IPC requesting illumination. After the oil is changed, reset the engine oil monitor.

LOW FUEL
The IPC illuminates the low fuel indicator when the IPC detects that the fuel level is less than 14 percent. The indicator is an LED on the fuel gage. The IPC receives a class 2 message indicating fuel level percent from the PCM.

LOW OIL
The IPC illuminates the LOW OIL message when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects low engine oil level, and the signal circuit is high. The PCM only monitors the signal circuit of the engine oil level switch for a brief period when the key moves from ON to START. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.

LOW OIL PRESSURE
The IPC illuminates the engine oil pressure indicator when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects low engine oil pressure, and the signal circuit is low. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.

SERVICE VEHICLE SOON
The IPC illuminates the SERVICE VEHICLE SOON in the following conditions:
- The BCM detects certain malfunctions in the lighting system. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the BCM.
