Hazard Warning Switch: Service and Repair

HAZARD WARNING SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the Instrument panel (IP) accessory trim plate.
2. Remove the bracket screws from the IP accessory switch mounting plate.




3. Remove the bracket.




4. Use a small flat-bladed tool in order to depress and release the hazard warning switch retainers. Press the switch out with your thumb.




5. Remove the hazard warning switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the hazard warning switch to the bracket.




2. Install the switch to the bracket by pressing into place until fully seated.




3. Position the bracket to the IP accessory trim plate.




4. Install the mounting plate bracket screws to the IP accessory switch.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

5. Install the IP accessory trim plate.
