Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - 12 Volt

ACCESSORY POWER RECEPTACLE REPLACEMENT - 12 VOLT

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 42059 Cigar Lighter Socket Remover

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the 12-volt power supply fuse.




2. Remove the power supply socket by placing one side of the "T" portion of the tool into the tab window and angle the other side into the opposite tab window. Pull the socket straight out.
3. Remove the tool from the supply socket.




4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the instrument panel (I/P) 12-volt power supply.




5. Remove the power supply retainer using your index finger by pulling straight out.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the 12-volt power supply retainer with the key to the slot into the 12-volt power supply hole.




2. Install the power supply retainer. Press into place until fully seated.




3. Connect the electrical connector to the I/P power supply.




4. Position the power supply to the retainer. Align the tabs on the receptacle to the slots in the retainer.




5. Install the power supply into the I/P. Press into place until fully seated.
6. Install the power supply fuse.
7. Inspect the power supply for proper operation.
