Door Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure


Notice: Refer to Paint Damage Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Apply masking tape to the fender and door edges.
2. Open the door.
3. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
4. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear) .
6. Remove the rear door inner window sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
7. Remove the rear door outer window sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
8. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window (Service and Repair) .
9. Remove the rear door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique/Runchannel Replacement - Rear () .
10. Remove the rear door stationary window with the weatherstrip. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door Stationary (Service and Repair) .
11. Remove the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to Window Channel Retainer Replacement - Rear Door (Window Channel Retainer Replacement - Rear Door) .
12. Remove the rear door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
13. Remove the rear door window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door Service and Repair
14. Remove the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement (Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement) .
15. Remove the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Service and Repair) .
16. Remove the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside (Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement) .
17. Remove the rear door lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Rear Door (Lock Replacement - Rear Door) .
18. Remove the rear door body side molding. Refer toMolding Replacement - Body Side (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
19. Remove the electrical harness from the door.
20. Remove the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door (Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door) .
21. Support the rear door.




22. Remove the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4). Refer to Door Adjustment - Rear (Adjustments)
23. Remove the door with the aid of an assistant.



Installation Procedure

1. Position the door with the aid of an assistant to the vehicle.




2. Install the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4). Refer to Door Adjustment - Rear (Adjustments) .
3. Remove the rear door support.
4. Install the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door (Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door) .
5. Install the electrical harness to the door.
6. Install the rear door body side molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
7. Install the rear door lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Rear Door (Lock Replacement - Rear Door) .
8. Install the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside (Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement) .
9. Install the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement (Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement) .
10. Install the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Service and Repair) .
11. Install the rear door window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door Service and Repair
12. Install the rear door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
13. Install the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to Window Channel Retainer Replacement - Rear Door (Window Channel Retainer Replacement - Rear Door) .
14. Install the rear door stationary window with the weatherstrip. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door Stationary (Service and Repair) .
15. Install the rear door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique/Runchannel Replacement - Rear () .
16. Install the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window (Service and Repair) .
17. Install the rear door outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
18. Install the rear door inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
19. Install the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear) .
20. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
21. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
22. Inspect the door for proper operation and alignment.
23. Remove the masking tape.
