Door Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure


Notice: Refer to Paint Damage Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Apply masking tape to the fender and door edges.
2. Open the door.
3. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door. Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door
5. Remove the front door speaker. Refer to Speaker Replacement - Front Door.
6. Remove the outside mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power (Mirror Replacement - Power Mirror) .
7. Remove the front door window belt inner sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
8. Remove the front door window belt outer sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
9. Remove the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Window (Door Window Weatherstrip) .
10. Remove the front door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique/Runchannel Replacement - Front () .
11. Remove the window channel retainer. Refer to Window Channel Retainer Replacement - Front Door (Door Window Channel) .
12. Remove the front door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
13. Remove the front door window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (Door Window Regulator Replacement (Manual)) .
14. Remove the front door inside handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Inside (Door Handle Replacement) .
15. Remove the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement (Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement) .
16. Remove the front door outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside (Door Handle Replacement) .
17. Remove the front door lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Front Door (Lock Replacement - Front Door) .
18. Remove the front door body side molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
19. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.
20. Remove the electrical harness from the door.
21. Remove the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Front Door (Rubber Conduit Replacement - Front Door) .
22. Remove the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Front Door (Rubber Conduit Replacement - Front Door) .
23. Remove the front door hinge bolts. Refer to Door Adjustment - Front (Adjustments) .
24. Support the front door.




25. Remove the hinge bolts from the door side. Refer to Door Adjustment - Front (Adjustments) .
26. Remove the door with the aid of an assistant.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the door with the aid of an assistant to the vehicle.
2. Install the hinge bolts to the door side . Refer to Door Adjustment - Front (Adjustments) .
3. Remove the front door support.
4. Install the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Front Door (Rubber Conduit Replacement - Front Door) .
5. Install the electrical harness to the door.
6. Install the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.
7. Install the front door body side molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
8. Install the front door lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Front Door (Lock Replacement - Front Door) .
9. Install the front door outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside (Door Handle Replacement) .
10. Install the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement (Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement) .
11. Install the front door inside handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Inside (Door Handle Replacement) .
12. Install the front door window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (Door Window Regulator Replacement (Manual)) .
13. Install the front door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
14. Install the window channel retainer. Refer to Window Channel Retainer Replacement - Front Door (Door Window Channel) .
15. Install the front door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique/Runchannel Replacement - Front () .
16. Install the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door (Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door) .
17. Install the front door window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
18. Install the front door window inner sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
19. Install the outside mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power (Mirror Replacement - Power Mirror) .
20. Install the front door speaker. Refer to Speaker Replacement - Front Door.
21. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door. Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door
22. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
23. Inspect the door for proper operation and alignment.
24. Remove the masking tape.
