Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Trim Panel Replacement



Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster

Removal Procedure





1. Use a plastic trim tool to remove the ignition switch bezel.




2. Pull the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate rearward slightly for access to the steering column filler. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Instrument Panel (IP) - Accessory Trim Plate Replacement) .
3. Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement (Steering Column Filler Replacement) .
4. Tilt the steering wheel to the lowest position.
5. Grasp the edge of the I/P cluster trim plate. Pull rearward to disengage the retainers.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp dimmer switch.




7. Remove the headlamp dimmer switch screws.
8. Remove the headlamp dimmer switch.
9. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the headlamp dimmer switch to the I/P cluster trim plate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the headlamp dimmer switch screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).





3. Connect the electrical connector to the headlamp dimmer switch.
4. Align the locating pins and the retainers on the I/P cluster trim plate with the openings in the I/P.
5. Push in the I/P cluster trim plate at each of the retainer locations. Verify that the retainers are completely engaged.
6. Return the steering wheel to the original position.
7. Install the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement (Steering Column Filler Replacement) .
8. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Instrument Panel (IP) - Accessory Trim Plate Replacement) .




9. Install the ignition switch bezel.
