Handle Replacement - Lift Gate

Removal Procedure





1. Remove liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Service and Repair) .
2. Open the liftgate.
3. Disconnect cable from handle.
4. Remove the 2 nuts (1) from the liftgate handle (2).
5. Remove the liftgate handle (2) from the liftgate applique studs (3).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the liftgate handle (2) to the liftgate applique studs (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 2 nuts (1)to the liftgate handle (2).

Tighten the liftgate handle nuts to 4.0 N.m (35 lb in).

3. Connect the cable to liftgate handle.
4. Install liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Service and Repair) .
5. Close the liftgate.
