Drum Brake Adjusting Hardware Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the drum (17). Refer to Brake Drum Replacement. Brake Drum Replacement
2. Remove the adjusting hardware (7,9,10,23,24) with the shoes. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement (FWD) or Brake Shoe Replacement (AWD). Service and Repair

Installation Procedure
1. Apply Lubriplate Lubricant, GM P/N 1050109, Canadian P/N 5264008, or the equivalent, to the metal contact points on the backing plate (1) and the adjuster strut (3).
2. Assemble the adjuster strut (2,3,4).
3. Install the adjusting hardware (7,9,10,23,24) with the shoes. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement (FWD) or Brake Shoe Replacement (AWD).
4. Install the drum (17). Refer to Brake Drum Replacement.
