^ J36850 Transjel- Lubricant.
^ J26900-6 Dial Caliper
1. Install the intermediate brake hub (2) and the intermediate one-way clutch (1) into the intermediate brake assembly.
2. Measure the intermediate brake hub installation (1) depth using a J26900-6.
3. Measure the depth between the surface of the intermediate brake hub and the rear planetary carrier. Verify that the installation depth is approximately 5 mm (0.20 inch).
4. Apply J36850 to the sun gear thrust washer (2) to hold the thrust washer in place on the rear of the sun gear input drum.
5. Install the sun gear thrust washer onto the rear of the sun gear input drum.
6. Install the sun gear input drum (1) into the intermediate one-way clutch and the rear planetary carrier.
7. Apply J36850 to the front planetary carrier thrust bearing race to hold the race in place inside the planetary carrier.
8. Install the front planetary carrier thrust bearing (1) into the front planetary carrier (767).
9. Install the front planetary carrier (2) onto the sun gear (1) inside the sun gear input drum.
10. Install the front planetary ring gear thrust bearing race onto the top of the front planetary carrier.
11. Apply J36850 to the front planetary ring gear thrust bearing in order to hold the assembly in place inside the front planetary ring gear.
12. Install the front planetary ring gear (2) thrust bearing into the front planetary ring gear.
13. Install the front planetary ring gear onto the front planetary carrier (2).
Important: In order for the forward clutch inner thrust bearing to align with the forward clutch inner thrust race, the forward clutch inner thrust bearing must be installed into the forward clutch drum just prior to the forward and direct clutch installation.
14. Install the forward clutch inner thrust bearing race (2) on top of the front planetary ring gear (1).
