Park Brake Drum Inspection - Disc

Park Brake Hardware Inspection (Disc Brakes)
1. Visually inspect the shoe retaining springs (4,5,14) for the following conditions:
^ Excessive corrosion
^ Excessive stretching
^ Broken hook ends
^ Twisting or binding
^ Missing
2. Visually inspect the shoe hold down springs (9,16) for the following conditions:
^ Bent
^ Broken
^ Missing
3. Visually inspect the park brake lever (6) and the strut (7) for the following conditions:
^ Bent
^ Broken
^ Missing
4. Visually inspect the park brake shoe adjuster (10,11,15) for the following conditions:
^ Excessive corrosion
^ Broken
^ Binding
^ Missing
5. Replace the park brake hardware with the park brake shoes if necessary. Refer to Park Brake Shoe Replacement.Service and Repair
