Carpet Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in Restraint Systems.
2. Disconnect the remaining seat electrical connectors.




3. Remove the front seats.
4. Remove the center console, if equipped.
5. Remove the rear seat cushion.
6. Remove the rear carpet retainer.
7. Remove the rear carpet (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure






Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.

1. Lay the rear carpet (2) into the vehicle.
2. Route the seat electrical wiring through the carpet.
3. Install the rear carpet retainer.
4. Install the rear seat cushion.
5. Install the center console, if equipped.
6. Install the front seats.
7. Connect the seat electrical connectors.
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in Restraint Systems.
