Hinge Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Coupe/Sedan)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear compartment deck lid strut.




2. With an assistant, remove the compartment lid hinge nuts.
It is not necessary to remove the lid if replacing only one hinge.
3. Remove the hinge to quarter panel bolts.
4. Remove compartment lid nuts to hinge.
5. Remove the compartment lid hinge.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in service Precautions.

1. With an assistant, install the compartment lid nuts to hinge.

Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Install the hinge to quarter panel bolts and nuts.

Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the rear compartment deck lid strut.
4. Adjust the compartment lid. Refer to Compartment Lid Adjustment - Rear.
