Window Replacement - Front Door
Removal Procedure
1. Position the front door window in the full down position.
2. Apply masking tape to the outer applique and frame.
3. Remove the trim panel.
4. Remove the water deflector.
5. Remove the inner belt sealing strip.
6. Remove the outer belt sealing strip.
7. Remove the window weatherstrip.
8. Loosen the bolts (1) to the front and rear clevice clamps.
9. Remove the window from the outside of the front door.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the window between the inner and the outer door panels.
2. Point the lower front corner of the window down and pass through the belt opening.
3. Align the edges with the window weatherstrip channel.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in service Precautions.
4. Turn the window to a horizontal position and align the window with the front and rear clevice clamps.
Tighten the front and rear clevice clamps bolts (1) to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
5. Install the window weatherstrip.
Important: Do not allow the sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip to roll over and point downwards. If this condition is present the window will not raise properly.
6. Install the outer belt sealing strip.
7. Install the inner belt sealing strip.
8. Inspect the window for proper operations.
9. Remove the masking tape from the outer applique and frame.
10. Install the water deflector.
11. Install the inner trim panel.
