Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement

SEAT CUSHION OUTER TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the seat to the full up position.




2. Remove the outer side cover retaining screw (1).
3. Remove the outer side cover plug (2), by rotating counterclockwise, then remove the retaining screw (3).
4. From under the seat, squeeze together the two outer side cover retaining tangs (4), while gently pulling outward on the outer side cover.




5. Disconnect the adjustment switch electrical connector (1).
6. Disconnect the EZ-entry module electrical connector (2).
7. Disconnect the seat recliner electrical connector (3).
8. Remove the outer side cover from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the seat recliner electrical connector (3).
2. Connect the EZ-entry module electrical connector (2).
3. Connect the front seat adjustment switch electrical connector (1).




4. Align the trim panel assembly to the seat then push into place until the side cover retaining tangs (4), lock into place.
5. Install outer side cover retaining screw (3), then the outer side cover plug (2), by rotating clockwise.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the outer side cover retaining screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the outer side cover retaining screw (1).

Tighten the outer side cover retaining screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
