Park Brake Hardware Inspection





1. Visually inspect the park brake shoe spring (1) for the following conditions:
- Bent
- Broken
- Missing
- Excessive corrosion





2. Visually inspect the adjuster hardware (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) for the following conditions:
- Bent
- Broken
- Binding
- Missing
- Excessive corrosion
3. Refer to Park Brake Hardware Replacement in order to replace the following components:
- The shoe spring
- The adjusting screw (1)
- The adjusting nut (2)
- The pushrod (7)
- The washer (6)
- The adjuster tappet (5)
4. Refer to Disc Brake Backing Plate Replacement -Rear in Disc Brakes in order to replace the following components:
- The anchor bracket (3)
- The shoe actuating lever (4)
- The pawl adjuster (8)
