Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

STOP LAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the left kneebolster panel.
2. Remove the center HVAC duct.




3. Disconnect the stop lamp electrical connector (1) from the stop lamp switch (5).
4. Disconnect the brake transmission shift interlock electrical connector (4) from the stop lamp switch (5).
5. Remove the stop lamp switch (5) from the brake pedal bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the stop lamp switch (5) to the brake pedal bracket.
2. Connect the brake transmission shift interlock electrical connector (4) to the stop lamp switch (5).
3. Connect the stop lamp electrical connector (1) to the stop lamp switch (5).
4. Adjust the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment .
5. Install the center HVAC duct.
6. Install the left kneebolster panel.
