Gear Select/Skip Shift Solenoid Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the propeller shaft from the vehicle.
3. Remove the transmission crossmember support.
4. Suitably support the transmission.
5. Lower the transmission slightly to gain access to the skip shift solenoid.
6. Place a drain pan under the transmission in case any fluid drips out.





7. Remove the skip shift solenoid from the transmission.

Installation Procedure





1. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the skip shift solenoid to the transmission.
Tighten the skip shift solenoid to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
2. Remove the drain pan.
3. Install the transmission crossmember support.
4. Install the propeller shaft on the vehicle.
5. Check the transmission fluid level.
6. Lower the vehicle.
