Hood Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the hood.
2. Remove the side seal covering the hood hinge.




3. Mark the position of the hinge on the fender.
4. Remove the bolts that secure the hinge to the fender.
5. Remove the hinge from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the hood hinge to the alignment marks.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolts that secure the hood hinge to the fender.

Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

3. Install the hood.
4. Install the rear side seal.
5. Align the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment.
