Trim Plate Replacement - Front Floor Console

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the floor console. Refer toConsole Replacement - Front Floor .
2. Remove the ashtray insert.
3. Remove the cupholder liner.
4. Remove the wiring harness.
5. Remove the HUD switch, if equipped. Refer toHead Up Display Switch Replacement .
6. Remove the traction control switch. Refer toTraction Control Switch Replacement in Antilock Brake System.
7. Remove the accessory power receptacles. Refer toCigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console and toAccessory Power Receptacle Replacement - Floor Console in Power Outlets.
8. Remove the armrest and the hinge. Refer toConsole Armrest Replacement - Front Floor .
9. Remove the rear cover screws.




10. Remove the rear cover.




11. Remove the compartment screws.




12. Remove the side trim panel screws.
13. Remove the side trim panels.




14. Remove the compartment screws.




15. Remove the upper trim plate.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the compartment to the upper trim plate.





Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the compartment screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).





3. Align the side trim panels to the locators.
4. Install the side trim panel screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).





5. Install the compartment screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).





6. Align the rear cover to the floor console.




7. Install the rear cover screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

8. Install the armrest and the hinge. Refer toConsole Armrest Replacement - Front Floor .
9. Install the accessory power receptacles. Refer toCigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console and toAccessory Power Receptacle Replacement - Floor Console in Power Outlets.
10. Install the traction control switch. Refer toTraction Control Switch Replacement in Antilock Brake System.
11. Install the HUD switch, if equipped. Refer toHead Up Display Switch Replacement .
12. Install the wiring harness.
13. Install the cupholder liner.
14. Install the ashtray insert.
15. Install the floor console. Refer toConsole Replacement - Front Floor .
