Exhaust Pipe Gasket: Service and Repair

Exhaust Seal Replacement
Removal Procedure





1. Remove the catalytic converter (3).
2. If equipped with regular production option (RPO) L26/L32, remove and discard the exhaust manifold pipe gasket (1).





3. If equipped with RPO LS4, remove and discard the exhaust manifold pipe gasket (1).





4. Remove and discard the catalytic converter to muffler gasket (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install a NEW catalytic converter to muffler gasket (2).





2. If equipped with RPO LS4, install a NEW exhaust manifold pipe gasket (1).





3. If equipped with RPO L26/L32, install a NEW exhaust manifold pipe gasket (1).
4. Remove the catalytic converter.
