Window Replacement - Front Door
Removal Procedure
Notice: Refer toPaint Damage Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Apply masking tape to the outer applique and frame.
2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
4. Remove the front door inner window belt sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner .
5. Raise the window far enough in order to gain access to the bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.
Remove the bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.
6. Lower the window regulator to the full down position.
7. Remove the window (1) from the door.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the window in between the inner and the outer panels.
1. Point the lower front corner of the front door window down.
2. Pass the front door window through the belt opening.
3. Align the edges of the window with the door window weatherstrip.
4. Ensure that both sealing lips on the front door outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downward.
If this condition is present, the window will not raise properly.
2. Raise the window regulator to the middle position.
Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
3. Install the forward window guide channel bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Install the rearward window guide channel bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
5. Remove the masking tape.
6. Inspect the window for proper operation.
7. Install the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner .
8. Install the front door water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
9. Install the front door trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
