Hinge Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure





1. Use a grease pencil to mark the location of the hinge at the quarter panel and compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer toCompartment Lid Replacement - Rear .
3. Remove the rear compartment lid struts. Refer toStrut Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .
4. Remove the bolts from hinge at the quarter panel.
5. Remove the hinge from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the hinge to the alignment marks on the quarter panel.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the hinge to rear quarter bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

3. Install the rear compartment struts. Refer toStrut Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .
4. Install the rear compartment lid. Refer toCompartment Lid Replacement - Rear .
5. Close the rear compartment.
