Antenna Replacement - Cellular Communications



ANTENNA REPLACEMENT - CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONS

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the garnish molding from the right windshield pillar.
2. Remove the right sunshade.
3. Remove the upper portion of the right front door weatherstrip.
4. Remove the sunroof opening trim bezel, if equipped.
5. Remove the overhead console, if equipped.
6. Remove the front dome lamp, if equipped.
7. Lower the front of the headliner.




8. Disconnect the antenna base lead.
9. Loosen the antenna base nut.
10. Remove the antenna base.
11. If necessary, remove the mobile telephone antenna from the base.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. If necessary, install the mobile telephone antenna to the base. Hand tighten the antenna until no visible gap appears between the antenna and the base.
2. Route the antenna base lead through the roof.
3. Align the antenna base to the roof with the locator pin.
4. Tighten the antenna base bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

5. Connect the antenna base lead.
6. Install the headliner.
7. Install the front dome lamp, if equipped.
8. Install the overhead console, if equipped.
9. Install the sunroof opening trim bezel, if equipped.
10. Install the upper portion of the right front door weatherstrip.
11. Install the right sunshade.
12. Install the garnish molding to the right windshield pillar.
