Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the following components as an assembly.
^ The front suspension crossmember
^ The trans support
^ The front control arms
^ The stabilizer shaft
^ The stabilizer shaft links
^ The stabilizer shaft clamps
^ The stabilizer shaft insulators





2. Remove the 2 nuts and the 2 stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft.
3. Remove the 4 bolts from the stabilizer shaft clamps.
4. Remove the 2 stabilizer shaft clamps.
5. Remove the 2 stabilizer shaft insulators.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the crossmember.

Installation Procedure





1. Place the stabilizer shaft on the crossmember.
2. Install the 2 stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
3. Install the 2 clamps to the insulators.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the 4 bolts to the clamps.
^ Tighten the bolts to 19 Nm (14.0 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the 2 stabilizer shaft links and the 2 nuts to the stabilizer shaft.
^ Tighten the nuts to 74 Nm (54.6 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the stabilizer shaft and the crossmember to the vehicle.
