Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper

Removal Procedure

1. Apply tape to the corners of the adjacent surfaces.
2. Remove the headlamps.




3. Remove the push-in retainers from the front bumper fascia upper support.
4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
5. Remove the air dam.
6. Disconnect the fog lamps electrical connectors, if equipped.




7. Remove the push-in retainers from the fender liner to the fascia on the left and the right side.
8. Pull back the front fender liner on the left and the right side.




9. Remove the bolt from the front bumper fascia to the front fender on the left and the right side.




10. Remove the front bumper fascia. With the aid of an assistant pull both sides of the fascia outward to release the retainers from the front fascia support.
11. If replacing the front fascia, transfer the following parts:

* The front fascia upper grille-Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement - Front Bumper - Upper.
* The front fascia lower grille-Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement - Front Bumper - Lower.
* The fog lamp, if equipped-Refer to Fog Lamp Replacement - Front in Lighting Systems.
* The licence plate and bracket-Refer to License Bracket Replacement - Front.
* The front energy absorber-Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Front.

Installation Procedure

1. If replacing the front fascia, transfer the following parts:

* The front energy absorber-Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Front.
* The licence plate and bracket-Refer to License Bracket Replacement - Front.
* The fog lamp, if equipped-Refer to Fog Lamp Replacement - Front in Lighting Systems.
* The front fascia lower grille-Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement - Front Bumper - Lower.
* The front fascia upper grille-Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement - Front Bumper - Upper.




2. Install the front bumper fascia to the vehicle, with the aid of an assistant engaged to the front of the fenders.
3. Pull back the front fender liner on the left and the right side.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the bolts to the front bumper fascia to the front fender on the left and the right side.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




5. Install the push-in retainers to the front bumper fascia to the front fender liner on the left and the right side.




6. Install the push-in retainers to the front bumper fascia to front bumper fascia upper support.
7. Install the headlamps.
8. Connect the fog lamps electrical connectors, if equipped.
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Remove the protective tape.
