The following information has been updated within SI. If you are using a paper version of this Service Manual, please make a reference to this bulletin on the affected page.

Camshaft Position Actuator Fastener Installation

Note:
Use only a Torx Plus(R) Bit when removing or installing the Camshaft Position Actuator retention Fasteners.

The three camshaft position actuator retention fasteners used on the 3.5L and 3.9L V6 engines are of the Torx Plus(R) design. Refer to the graphic illustration number (1) for the Torx Plus(R) fasteners. The Torx Plus(R) design differs from typical Torx(R) fastener. Use of a standard TORX(R) bit on TORX Plus(R) fasteners may result in a rounded out fastener head, incorrect fastener torque or a damaged Torx Plus(R) bit. The Torx Plus(R) bit size is a T30 and is available from your local tool suppliers.
