Door Check Link Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the door.
2. Remove the 2 bolts (3).
3. Remove the 2 nuts (1) attaching the door check link (2) to the door.
4. Remove the door check link (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Position the door check link (2) to the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 2 nuts (1) attaching the check link (2) to the door.

Tighten the check link nuts to 14 N.m (10 lb ft).

3. Install the 2 door check link to door jamb bolts (3).

Tighten the check link to door jamb bolts to 6 N.m (4.4 lb ft).

4. Close the door.
