Lock Striker Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Cargo Area Rear (Removal and Replacement) in Interior Trim.
2. Use a grease pencil to mark the location of the rear compartment lid lock striker to the rear compartment for its location at installation.
3. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker bolt (1) from the rear compartment body panel (3).
4. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Position the rear compartment lid lock striker (2) to the rear compartment body panel (3).
2. Install the bolt (1) to the rear compartment lid lock striker (2).
3. Tighten the bolt (1) part way allowing for the adjustment of the rear compartment lid lock striker (2). Refer to Compartment Lid Adjustment - Rear (Adjustments) .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker bolt.

Tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Cargo Area Rear (Removal and Replacement) in Interior Trim.
6. Close the rear compartment.
