Rear Fender Liner: Service and Repair



Wheelhouse Liner Panel Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the rear tires and wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
3. Remove the 2 screws (3) attaching the rear bumper fascia (2) at the wheel arch opening.
4. Remove the 2 screws (1) attaching the rear bumper fascia (2) to the wheelhouse liner and rear bumper fascia guide.
5. Carefully, partially unclip the rear bumper fascia (2) from the rear bumper fascia guide.




6. Remove the retainer (2) attaching the rear wheelhouse liner (1) to the vehicle.
7. Manipulate the wheelhouse liner (1) from within the wheelhouse and remove.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the rear wheelhouse liner to the rear wheelhouse panel.
2. Install the retainer (2) securing the wheelhouse liner (1).




3. Position the rear bumper fascia (2) to the rear bumper fascia guide.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the 2 screws (1) attaching the rear bumper fascia assembly (2) to the wheelhouse liner and rear bumper fascia guide.

Tighten the rear bumper fascia screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the 2 screws (3) attaching the rear bumper fascia assembly (2) at the wheel arch opening.

Tighten the rear bumper fascia screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the rear tires and wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
7. Lower the vehicle.
