Headliner Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Seat Back Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
3. Remove the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter (Removal and Replacement) .
5. Remove the windshield pillar garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar (Removal and Replacement) .
6. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Removal and Replacement) .
7. Remove the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Remove the dome lamp. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement in Lighting.
9. Move the front seats to the full back position.




10. Disconnect the headliner assembly electrical harness from the body harness electrical connector, located below the right hand center pillar.
11. Disengage 4 Velcro fasteners (1) attaching the rear edge of the headliner assembly.
12. Flex the headliner to disengage the corners from the 4 "D" tabs (2) on the sides of the roof panel.
13. Remove the headliner from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Position the headliner in the vehicle.




2. Flex the headliner to engage the corners to the 4 "D" tabs (2) on the sides of the roof panel.
3. Engage 4 Velcro fasteners (1) attaching the rear edge of the headliner assembly.
4. Connect the headliner assembly electrical harness to the body harness electrical connector, located below the right hand center pillar.
5. Adjust seats as necessary.
6. Install the dome lamp. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement in Lighting.
7. Install the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Removal and Replacement) .
9. Install the windshield pillar garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar (Removal and Replacement) .
10. Install the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter (Removal and Replacement) .
11. Install the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
12. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Seat Back Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
13. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
