Door Sill Plate Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.

2. Using a small screwdriver, push in on the center of the front seat track outer covers (1).
3. Unclip the covers (1) from the seat track and disengage from the side sill trim.
4. Pull the covers (1) apart and remove.

5. Remove the seat belt bolt access cover (1) then remove the seat belt bolt (2), seat belt anchor (3), washer (4) and spacer (5).
6. Carefully lift the door sill plate trim plate (6) from the door sill plate (7) starting at the front and moving rearwards.
7. Remove the door sill plate-to-rear quarter panel retainer (8).
8. Remove 4 door sill plate retaining screws (9).
9. Pull upward on the rear edge of the door sill plate (7) towards the center of the vehicle to release 2 sill plate-to-rear quarter panel retaining clips (10).
10. Remove the door sill plate (7) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the door sill plate (7) to the vehicle.
2. Push downward on the rear edge of the door sill plate (7) towards the center of the vehicle to install 2 sill plate-to-rear quarter panel retaining clips (10).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install 4 door sill plate retaining screws (9).

Tighten the 4 door sill plate retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the door sill plate-to-rear quarter panel retainer (8).
5. Install the door sill plate trim plate (6) to the door sill plate (7) starting at the rear and moving forward.
6. Install the seat belt spacer (5), washer (4), seat belt anchor (3), bolt (2), and seat belt bolt access cover (1).

Tighten the seat belt bolt to 42.5 N.m (31 lb ft).

7. Push the covers (1) together and position in the vehicle.
8. Clip the covers (1) to the seat track and lock in place to the side sill trim.
9. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
