Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf
TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR WINDOW SHELF
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel.
2. Remove the high mount stop light.
3. Remove 2 emergency lid release cable assembly retaining screws (1).
4. Pull the rear compartment emergency lid release cable assembly away from the rear window trim panel assembly.
5. Remove 3 rear window trim panel assembly retainers (1).
6. Remove 1 rear window trim panel assembly-to-rear sheet metal retainer (2).
7. Lift the front edge of the rear window trim panel assembly and feed the rear compartment lid emergency release cable through the slot in the parcel shelf.
8. Remove the rear window trim panel assembly from the vehicle.
9. Bend the speaker grille tabs (1), to a vertical position then remove from the rear window trim panel assembly.
10. Remove the dust seal (2), from the rear speaker grille.
11. Remove the speaker seal (3), from the rear window trim panel assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the speaker seal (3), to the rear window trim panel assembly.
2. Install the dust seal (2), to the rear speaker grille.
3. Position the speaker grilles to the rear window trim panel assembly, then bend the speaker grille tabs (1), to a horizontal.
4. Position the rear window trim panel assembly in the vehicle.
5. Lift the front edge of the rear window trim panel assembly and feed the rear compartment lid emergency release cable through the slot in the parcel shelf.
6. Install 1 rear window trim panel assembly-to-rear sheet metal retainer (2).
7. Install 3 rear window trim panel assembly retainers (1).
8. Position the rear compartment emergency lid release cable assembly to the rear window trim panel assembly.
9. Install 2 emergency lid release cable assembly retaining screws (1).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten the emergency lid release cable retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
10. Install the high mount stop light.
11. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel.
