Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Seat Back Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
3. Remove the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .




4. Remove the 3 quarter trim panel retaining screws (1).
5. Starting at the lower edge of the trim panel and moving alternately clockwise and counterclockwise, pull outward on the trim panel to disengage the eight rear quarter trim panel attaching clips (2).
6. Remove the quarter trim panel from the vehicle.




7. Remove the 4 radio speaker grille speed clips (1), securing the speaker grille.
8. Remove the speaker grille (2).




9. Remove the rear quarter trim panel insulator (1), from the back of the quarter trim assembly (2).




10. Remove 7 rear quarter trim panel armrest retaining clips (1).
11. Remove 7 rear quarter trim panel armrest retaining nuts (2).
12. Gently pry the quarter trim panel armrest insert assembly (3), away from the rear quarter trim panel and remove.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the quarter trim panel armrest insert assembly (3), to the rear quarter trim panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install 7 rear quarter trim panel armrest retaining nuts (2).

Tighten the armrest retaining nuts to 0.8 N.m (7 lb in).

3. Install 7 rear quarter trim panel armrest retaining clips (1).




4. Install the rear quarter trim panel insulator (1), to the back of the quarter trim assembly (2).




5. Position the speaker grille (2), to the trim panel, then install the 4 radio speaker grille speed clips (1).
6. Position the quarter trim panel in the vehicle.




7. Starting at the lower edge of the trim panel and moving alternately clockwise and counterclockwise, push inward on the trim panel to engage the 8 rear quarter trim panel attaching clips (2).
8. Install the 3 quarter trim panel retaining screws (1).

Tighten the quarter trim panel retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

9. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Seat Back Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
10. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
11. Install the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
