Park Brake Lever Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Release the park brake.
2. Pull the park brake lever boot to the side.
3. Remove the park brake cable adjustment nut (1).
4. Remove the right front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket in Seats.
5. Lift the carpet around the park brake lever.
6. Remove the 2 bolts (2, 3).
7. Lift the park brake lever assembly up.
8. Disconnect the park brake switch connector.
9. Remove the park brake lever assembly from the front park brake cable.

Installation Procedure





1. Thread the front park brake cable through the park brake lever assembly.
2. Connect the park brake switch connector.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the park brake lever assembly and the 2 bolts (2, 3) to the vehicle.
- Tighten the 2 bolts to 50 Nm (at ft. lbs.).
4. Install the carpet to the correct position around the park brake lever.
5. Install the adjustment nut (1) and adjust the park brake lever travel. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment.
6. Install the right front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket in Seats.
