Timing Chain and Sprockets Removal

Tools Required
^ J8433 Two Jaw Puller
^ J41558 Crankshaft Sprocket Remover
^ J41816-2 Crankshaft End Protector





1. Notice: Do not turn the crankshaft assembly after the timing chain has been removed in order to prevent damage to the piston assemblies or the valves.

Remove the camshaft sprocket bolts (206).
2. Remove the camshaft sprocket (205) and timing chain (208).





3. Remove the bolts (231) and chain dampener (232).





4. Use the J41816-2 (1), the J41558 (2), and the J8433 (3) in order to remove the crankshaft sprocket.





5. Remove the crankshaft sprocket.





6. Remove the crankshaft sprocket key, as required.
