Stabilizer Shaft Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Lower the front frame in order to access the stabilizer shaft.





2. Remove the nuts (2) that retain the insulator brackets (3) to the front frame.
3. Remove the brackets from the insulators (4).
4. Remove the insulators from the stabilizer shaft (5).
5. Use a wrench in order to hold the link lower studs.
6. Remove the nuts and the stabilizer shaft from the links.
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the front frame.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the insulators (4) to the stabilizer shaft (5).Ensure the slots in the insulators face forward.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft to the front frame (1).Ensure the curved portions of the insulators seat in the curved mating surfaces on the front frame.
3. Install the brackets (3) to the insulators.

4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the nuts (2) in order to retain the brackets to the front frame.
Tighten the nuts to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the shaft to the links.
6. Use a wrench in order to hold the link lower studs.
7. Install the nuts to the link lower studs.
Tighten the nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the front frame (2).
