Transmission Mount Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Support the transmission with a transmission jack.





3. Remove the catalytic converter support bracket (1) retaining bolts (2).
4. Remove the catalytic converter support bracket (1) retaining nuts (3).





5. Important:
Before removing the transmission support bracket, scribe or mark the location of the support bracket to the frame rails.

Remove the nuts (5) that secures the mount to the transmission support.
6. Remove the bolts (6) that secure the transmission support to the vehicle.
7. Remove the transmission support from the vehicle.
8. Remove the bolts (2) and nuts (3) that secure the mount to the transmission.
9. Remove the mount from the transmission.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the mount to the transmission (1).

2. Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the bolts (2) that secure the mount to the transmission.

Tighten the bolts to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the nuts (3) that secure the mount to the transmission.

Tighten the nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

4. Important:
Align the transmission support bracket marks to the frame rail marks.

Install the transmission support to the vehicle.
5. Install the bolts that secure the transmission support to the vehicle.

Tighten the bolts to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).

6. Install the nut that secures the mount to the transmission support.

Tighten the nut to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





7. Install the catalytic converter support bracket (1) and retaining bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).

8. Install the catalytic converter support bracket retaining nuts (3).

Tighten the nuts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).

9. Remove the transmission jack.
10. Lower the vehicle.
