Reverse Lockout Solenoid Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the propeller shaft from the vehicle.
3. Remove the transmission crossmember support.
4. Suitably support the transmission.
5. Lower the transmission slightly to gain access to the reverse lockout solenoid.
6. Remove the reverse lockout solenoid electrical connector (2).
7. Place a drain pan under the transmission in case any fluid drips out.
8. Remove the reverse lockout solenoid retaining bolt.
9. Remove the reverse lockout solenoid.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the reverse lockout solenoid.
2. Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice.
Install the reverse lockout assembly bolt.
Tighten the reverse lockout assembly bolt to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove the drain pan.
4. Connect the reverse lockout solenoid electrical connector (2).
5. Install the transmission crossmember support.
6. Install the propeller shaft from the vehicle.
7. Check the transmission fluid level.
8. Lower the vehicle.
